All You Single Ladies

 I am a single lady and have to watch my money. I have had one more day with my internet. I'm sure you've heard this one. It all started when my router went out and then my modem got to acting up. I went through the procedure of calling the computer guys and still no internet. I went back up to the Comcast and they gave me another modem. Got home hooked this up called the online tecnical support guys. Nothing, no power, lights or anything else. By this time I was getting alittle frustrated. My daughter and I decided why not just buy a brand new modem and be done with it. So I take the other back to Comcast and they wanted to give me another modem. Oh, and I forgot to mention about the seven dollar a month rental  fee for the modem. I thought that was just part of the plan until yesterday. I asked the sales representative and she said I was paying this. I said I think I will be better off just buying a new one. To make a long story short. Make sure you know what you're renting and how much a year it's costing you. Don't know about all you single ladies, but I'm still learning. Have a nice day everyone.

Blessing in Disguise

I love, love taking pictures. I love to capture what other people may miss.  My little grandson and I went outside to ride the golf cart and of course I took my camera. We got back inside and I wanted to show his dad the pics I had taken of his little boy on the tractor. I picked the camera up and the back screen was broke. I have no clue as to how it got broken I had just used it. Anyway I told my daughter that I would get another camera sometime. My daughter is so good at finding things on the internet. She said I have found you another camera and I would have to order it online. I told her, I don't know about this. I had never ordered something like that over the internet so I was a little skeptical. After I thought about it I told her to go ahead and order it. Since then I have used it a few times and wanted to show one of the pictures I created. It's so awesome. I love the camera. Its a kodak easy share --30X.

What does love look like?

  Put everything you have ever been told about love back on a shelf somewhere.   Love is like everything else we have been taught, it is only what has been passed down to us.  Whoever taught us before could only teach us what they have been taught.   
Getting back to the question.  Love is kind, it is not self seeking. Love looks for the best in everything and anybody.  No matter what.  Love does not back bite or gossip.  We have all been in the other persons shoes and some of you reading this may be still there.  That does not mean you have to stay there.  It is a choice made everyday.  I like the Golden Rule "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."

Jack In The Box

I was thinking about our lives like Jack in the box. When Jack is out of the box he is all smiles and happy go lucky. We are like Jack in the box. It seems like out of nowhere our head gets squished by our circumstances and the cares of this world. Our box is closed and the crank is going. You remember how it works. The music plays and the crank gets tighter and tighter untill Jack pops.

For me personally before I knew about praying in tongues and its transforming power, if what you said came against what I believed I would snap in a heartbeat. Now I can truly say I’ve been transformed into a new person and will continue on the path that God has for me.

I’m thankful for God sending me to Gateway so I can be equipped with the proper tools to handle all life has to throw at me. Even though we have the tools, we don’t always use them. People are turned off by Christians because we are so wound up.If we would ever pray in tongues long enough, we would become a whole new person. Then people would be attracted to us.

Matthew 12:34 says, “Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

Seek and you can find

My grandson has finally got two little teeth. How sweet it is. I can remember when my children got theirs. How soon we sometimes forget those precious moments. Today he started crawling and clapping.

Stand By Me

 I found myself in a similar situation I had prayed myself right out of the church I was in.  I struggled with this for weeks before I finally got the nerve to tell anyone. I told my daughter and son first, and they were fine. Actually, they loved it.  Even my mom and dad were fine with it for a day.

After they let what I said sink in, they did not like it one bit.  Before I knew it, they were bombarding me with many reasons as to why I shouldn’t change churches. “It’s too far of a drive. Is it really worth it?” they would say. This is just like when we get a word from Holy Ghost and everything is fine for a day and then all heck comes against you.  I even began to question myself, “I said I would never leave the church I was in”, but I know what God told me. I was having to battle against my flesh and what was familiar to me.

Deep in my heart, I knew I had heard from God, but the voice of the enemy tried to creep into my thoughts during the day. The people who are closest to me.  I prayed myself to a place where I could hear God clearly. It may not have been what I wanted to hear, but it was what I needed to hear at the time to get me where I needed to be.

Once I started proclaiming what God had said to me, there was a boldness that came over me. I had numerous people coming to me saying how much I was needed and appreciated. I said that I understood what she was saying I also went on to say exactly what God had said to me and that He had told me to go to Gateway Believers Fellowship. I looked at her and said God still speaks today and when I said that her head went tilt. People will even get mad at you when you take a stand for God. When you hear the master’s voice, you cannot be swayed. God said he would never leave or forsake you, and He is so faithful to His word. God provided such a peace
