Good report. Everything is going as planned.
Phase one-Cast removed
Dead skin scales and long hair everywhere-lol
Now, on to phase two of my bunion recovery
New boot for my foot.Very stylish if I must say so.
First time I put my foot down I thought oh my, this
going to be rougher than I thought.
I also had to get a four prong cane to help with my
balance. I have walked some today. Unsteady some.
Which I expected and as I kept walking I just had to
slow down.
My mind wanted to just start back walking
but my body told me otherwise.
It was my my first day on the cane. I was very tired and my foot
and big toe was a little sore. Tylenol was my friend last
night and prayer. Thanking God for helping me through this.
Thanks to my daughter, my mom, my grandsons, Keller, Sybil,
my church family checking in on me, and last but not least
my daddy who has taken me and drove me everytime I
had to go back to the doctor.
One thing I have missed is my driving. I have not driven in
five weeks, and that is the rough for me. I have never been
down this long. Never ever!

Today has been better. I have walked some with the cane
putting a little weight on the foot. I am getting stronger everyday.
Thanks for all the prayers.

Foot bothered me a little during the night. I loosened the boot
up and that helped. I woke up this morning and iced it. As of
now it's doing good. Today is a good day and I am getting
motion back in my toe everyday.
Tried to get out for a little bit this evening. Not a good idea.
My right leg tried to lock up on me. I guess cause it is pulling
all the weight.

Today I called my foot doctor and asked about how much I should be walking.
Found out I was doing to much. No wonder my foot has been swelling.
Oh well, I only have a few more weeks to be down. I am getting there
one day at a time. Just wish it would be sooner.
July 4th
It's been six weeks since I drove. I will be glad to get rid of this boot next week. We shall see what the doctor says next week. Praying my foot is healing up nicely. I know it takes up to a year for the swelling to go down. I know it's one phase after another.
July 9
Just a few more days with the boot on my foot. I will not miss the boot and I will not miss the cane. I have gotten so tired of the cane I could throw it in the lake. Funny I know, but not funny. I have a new perspective on people who use canes, scooters, boots after foot surgery. Until you've done it you have no clue what other people go through.

Did not go as I wanted it to. One little spot has not completely healed up yet. So, that means I must be in the boot at least three more weeks. I am making the best of it. I am not where I was. I only have about 6 weeks or more til its healed. Just have to make sure nothing shifts in the process. This is one time I will do as the doctor says.

Today is Monday. Waiting on the day this boot comes off my foot.
