My little fellow

New pic of me and my little grandson. Isn't he the cutest thing you ever saw. I know all grammy's must think this. He was checking the camera out. He weights 14 lbs now. This little fellow has held his head up since he come into this world. Makes you wonder what he's going to be when he grows up. 

Baby

My new grandson is getting so big. After minor surgery he is putting the weight on like needs to be.

Beyond Talent By John C. Maxwell

 

The book is about beyond talent. It gives you all kinds of scenarios to relate to. It is a nonfiction book.

The book was really not that interesting. It had some good quotes by different people that I really liked. It did not challenge or inspire me because it seemed to be a bunch of facts. Maxwell did not give any insight on how to apply what he talked about to my own life. I feel it was too much information for one book it should have been broken up into two books. One thing I found surprising about this book was the lack of scriptures. I have read many other books by John Maxwell that were easy to understand and were more relatable. This book was not what I expected at all. I wouldn't recommend this book to everyone, but if you are into history, sports or business you may like it.

New Gramma

I became a gram officially on 5-13-2011.
I got to watch my first grandson come into the world yesturday.
What an awesome site. My son and daughter in law will bring him
home tomorrow. Weighing in at 7lbs 8 ounces. Since then he has gained 2 ounces. It's an awesome thing.

Road Trip To Tennessee

Recently my daughter and I got to take a little road trip to Tennessee. It was great. A friend of ours let us use his house for four days and I absolutely loved it. You maybe wondering why all the fuss about a trip to the mountains. It has been eight years since I got to take my daughter anywhere.
Now you can see where I'm coming from. We rode on all sorts of old roads and seen lots of exciting things. In Pigeon Forge they have a new adventure to go through called Titanic it was very interesting. So if you're ever up that way you might want to pay a visit.

Waiting

Got a phone call and was told my daughter in law is dilated 1.

My first grandbaby so you could imagine.
 His name is Mason and he is getting ready to make his grand
entrance within the next few weeks or maybe sooner.

  Hopefully he will wait.

Grilling

Started my day with coffee, sausage, bisquits.  Traveling to my job this morning, minding my own business out of the low grass comes this gigantic thing.  I had to think quickly. What is it?  It's a bird, it's a plane, maybe even superman.  ha 

 Hawk on the grill? I'm not sure how good that would taste, but I came really close to finding out on my way to work! LOL 

That bird had a wing span as wide as the front of my car.  Whew barely missed that baby. 
 Something like this will wake you up in a hurry.
Funny now but not so while it was happening.
