This was another view of Issaqueena Falls. You can go above the falls or you can walk down a rugged path to the bottom. As you can see it was so worth the walk. These children were having so much fun. It was a hot day in Georgia, even though I was in South Carolina at the time. I would have loved to have went further down the falls, but the path was wet and slippery. Maybe another day when the leaves start to change. We shall see.

Stumphouse
Stumphouse Tunnel is near Isaaqueena Falls. The tunnel measures 17 feet wide by 25 feet high and about midway in, there is a airshaft that extends 60 feet upwards to the sruface, causing a consistent cool breeze to flow out of the tunnel. Make sure when you come to bring a flashlight to see with. A nice little surprise on the way out of seeing the other falls.

Issaqueena Falls
My daughter and I took another little road trip this week and went back up to the mountains. This time we went to Issaqueena Falls. Beautiful falls that you can go behind. I am going back in the fall to take pictures of the leaves turning. Short walk to the falls, but when going you need shoes with good traction. http://www.sciway.net/sc-photos/oconee-county/issaqueena-falls.html\
